Initiating a new philanthropy event, Director of Philanthropy Evyn Roberts hosted a vintage clothing flea market for the Manhattan community during Sigma Kappa Theta Tau Chapter’s Philanthropy Week.

“I decided to hold the Sigma Kappa Vintage Flea because I love the Little Apple flea here in town that happens every couple of weeks,” Roberts said. “I love clothing and vintage shopping, and I knew it would be a good way for our chapter to donate clothes to local Goodwills and other donation sites while being creative and having fun.”
Members of Sigma Kappa donated gently used clothing to be sold at the event, with proceeds going towards Sigma Kappa Foundation, one of the sorority’s five philanthropies.
All Greek organizations host philanthropy events to raise money for their respective causes. Throughout the school year, these events are open to the public with the hope of bringing the Greek community and the K-State community together.
