The Hispanic American Leadership Organization executive board held its weekly meeting in the Kansas State Student Union to deliberate on future events for students throughout campus. HALO focuses on promoting Latino culture on campus and developing leaders who serve the Manhattan community.

“It’s very important to translate our family culture to our college family,” Jocelyn Garcia, member of HALO, said. “We are really excited to be hosting Cinco de Mayo with UPC. It’s something we are already familiar with, but we can also share with people who aren’t as familiar with Cinco de Mayo.”
