Riley County Police Department is investigating two overnight shootings reported on Nov. 30 at 7:57 p.m. and Dec. 1. at 5:49 a.m. in Manhattan.
Officers responded to the first shooting in the 2000 block of College Heights, locating a “23-year-old female with a gunshot wound.”
The next morning, officers responded to another report of shots fired in the 1800 block of Claflin Road, locating three individuals with gunshot wounds.
All victims were transported to Ascension Via Christi for treatment.
According to RCPD, findings suggest the two incidents are linked, but there is no ongoing threat at this time.
Sierré Sayles, who claimed to be one of the victims, made a statement via a Facebook reply to an RCPD post.
“I got shot last night!” Sayles said. “I do not know who shot me! Stop spreading false info saying shootings are related and blah blah blah. They’re not. I do not even know why I was shot. I was the first person injured & currently still at a hospital and I still can’t walk.”
