Letter from the Editors | Greta Klein and Declan Phipps
Walking through K-State’s campus, it’s easy to get caught up in homework and the stress of college life. While many events, like attending games at The Bill or Bramlage Coliseum, make up the “college experience,” we commonly find ourselves looking to the heart of Manhattan — Aggieville.
Best known in quick conversations as “The ‘Ville,” it’s a place where college students and members of the Manhattan community directly intersect. From relaxation to shopping, the roads that tie the Wildcat culture together are just a couple blocks from campus.
In our fall 2026 special edition, “The ‘Ville,” you will find the overlap and true connection between college students and those in the community that frequent the area. From Moro Street to Manhattan Avenue, citizens earn paychecks and replenish their bodies and minds, with a select few calling the famous bar district their home.
Our staff dug deep into the people and experiences that make up the scenes of Aggieville. Writers, photographers, graphic designers and page designers fixated on the details and stories that make up the central hub for all K-Staters.
We hope the next time you walk under those purple neon letters, you can rest assured that you know just a little more about the heart of the Little Apple and the people who keep it beating.
Welcome to “The ‘Ville.”
