A new Kaw’s nightclub will bring big-city vibes to Aggieville, opening March 5 in time for Fake Patty’s Day celebrations.
Located next to Yard Bar at the previous Shot Stop location, Kaw’s will hold 300 people. Patrons must be at least 21 years old to enter the nightclub.
Kaw’s is modeled after Westport Landing in Kansas City, which replaced a Johnny Kaw’s Yard Bar location in 2024, Brett Allred, president of Allred Management, said.
“The space features a large dance floor centered around the DJ, six VIP tables and nearly 100 intelligent lights designed by a professional lighting designer based in Kansas City,” he said.
Though Kaw’s officially opened Thursday, regional manager Dustin Bartholomew said the grand opening will be Saturday, March 7, to align with Fake Patty’s Day.
“There’s no stipulations to entry on Thursday or Friday at all,” he said. “It’ll just be who gets there is in, but on Saturday, you will need a wristband for Fake Patty’s Day to get in the venue.”
Allred said Kaw’s will feature drink specials similar to the ones at Yard Bar, with exclusive specials offered all year to those who purchase a Fake Patty’s Day wristband.
“We are also looking forward to FPD and expect it to be a record day for us,” Allred said. “We are almost out of wristbands, and once they sell out, they are gone. If that happens, there will not be any available for purchase the day of the event.”
Bartholomew said Kaw’s brings opportunities to Aggieville that will benefit the whole district.
“We’ve definitely had to add a few more to our staff, so it’s created a few positions there, but I would hope that it would generate more business for all of Aggieville, in general. I mean, the better Aggieville does, the better we all do. We hope that this would bring just a different vibe and atmosphere down there, and hopefully we can all build off of it.”
