As the American flag rippled in the wind — pointing out to left center — the Kansas State baseball team was set for its first matchup of a three-game series against the SIUE Cougars.

K-State splits home opener

On a beautiful sunny day at Tointon Family Stadium, the Kansas State Wildcats held their home opener against Columbia University. Due to inclement weather, the scheduled game on Sunday was moved to be played along with the opening game for the ‘Cats, turning the day into a doubleheader. 
Last season, James Guyette throws a pitch against West Virginia. The 'Cats defeated the Mountaineers, 14-9.

K-State suffers first loss of the season to Auburn

Kansas State was held to one run as No. 9-ranked Auburn handed the Wildcats their first loss of the season, 5-1. The contest was the first game for the two teams in the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series, held at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
