The Riley County Police Department confirmed in a Facebook post Thursday morning that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents conducted operations in Manhattan earlier that day.
According to the post, “RCPD was not involved in these operations.”
In an Instagram post, progressive group Indivisible MHK said ICE agents were spotted near CICO Park and Diamond Roofing using civilian vehicles.
In the ICE activity Near Manhattan, KS Facebook group, an anonymous user posted video of the vehicles allegedly used by ICE agents, including a white Nissan sedan and black Jeep SUV.
Indivisible MHK also said ICE arrested two individuals in Manhattan, but neither ICE representatives or RCPD has confirmed or denied.
RCPD could not be reached for contact. The Collegian will continue to report as the story progresses.
