Winter break will have you sipping hot cocoa in pajamas one minute and putting on a full face of makeup the next. Here is some outfit inspiration for your winter break plans to feel comfortable, confident and, most importantly, warm.
First, let’s start with the classic family holiday party. Grandma has pulled out the nice china and has a pair of socks perfectly wrapped under the tree for you.
Your mom wants to get a family picture, so you need to look your best because this picture will definitely be posted on Facebook. You’re going to want to wear something chic and classic that you can also comfortably enjoy the Christmas feast in.
One of my favorite pieces right now is a maxi skirt, like the “Satin Maxi Skirt” from Old Navy. The “Cherry Bark” is a beautiful color for the holidays.
This skirt, paired with a slightly oversized sweater, is a perfectly chic yet comfortable holiday outfit. A great one is the “SoSoft Crew-Neck Tunic Sweater” from Old Navy.
The finishing touch this outfit needs is some holiday sparkle. For example, a pair of statement gold earrings, a sparkly headband or some bold ballet flats.
One of the best parts of winter break is all your loved ones being home for the holidays. But, when you’ve had enough family time and need an escape, grab your hometown friends and go ice skating.
You’re going to need some mobility for ice skating, so a cute workout set is perfect. To keep warm, let’s add some layers. Recently, I have been loving the mock neck trend, like the “Shay Mock Neck Sweater” from Altar’d State.
To go over that, you’re gonna need a puffer coat, and no puffer coat is better than the Aritzia “Super Puff.” Pair this with a colorful oversized scarf and some gloves, so you and your friends can get some cute pictures for Instagram.
I don’t know about you, but my favorite thing to wear on Christmas Day is pajamas. Nothing is better than a Christmas movie marathon in a pair of Christmas pajamas on Christmas Day.
Some cute sets for this year are the “Merry Striped Sleep” set from Altar’d State, the “Christmas Embroidered Nutcracker Pajamas” from Gilded Swan Boutique or a classic pair of Victoria’s Secret striped pajamas.
Finally, let’s talk about one of the most exciting days of the year, New Year’s Eve. A night full of fun, perhaps a little bit of chaos, but, above all, sequins and glitter!
This is a night to be bold with your look. Think dark eye shadow, an impractically small, yet stylish, bag or a fresh new hairdo to ring in the New Year.
A New Year’s look is never complete without some sequins. Some great sequined pieces are the “V-Neck Beaded Cami” from Abercrombie & Fitch, the “Sun Salutations Halter Top” or the “Aisleigh Sequin Halter Mini Dress,” both from Princess Polly.
So, whether you are spending all day curled up watching Christmas movies, ice skating with friends or ringing in the New Year, do it in style. Stay chic, bold, glamorous and warm.
