The Kansas State Wildcats wrapped up another series, but the outcome was not what the purple and white had hoped for. On the road against No. 18 West Virginia, the Mountaineers added a third win against the Wildcats, 13-6, sweeping the series.

The Wildcats started James Guyette on the hill, who pitched seven innings and gave up three runs on three hits. Guyette had a career high 12 strikeouts as well, bolstering K-State to a 11-3 win against the Cowboys.
Kansas State was held to one run as No. 9-ranked Auburn handed the Wildcats their first loss of the season, 5-1. The contest was the first game for the two teams in the Amegy Bank College Baseball Series, held at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas.
