Season four of “The Traitors” aired on Peacock over the past two months and quickly captured audiences’ attention. From deception to designer, its star-studded cast served more than just mystery; it served fashion.
The best dressed in the castle was undoubtedly Maura Higgins, who rose to fame after her appearance on season five of “Love Island,” the UK version. Higgins ultimately fell for Rob Rausch’s lies, but she nailed her looks.
Higgins took the detective-inspired aesthetic of “The Traitors” and truly made it her own. Her outfits were expertly accessorized and bold, with statements that stole every scene. Let’s go over some of Maura Higgins’s best looks in season four of “The Traitors.”
In episode one, “Let the Cards Fall As They Will,” Higgins wears an entirely latex forest-green catsuit that quietly makes a statement for the wild wardrobe to come. This look even has cape detailing, giving pure detective vibes.
Those vibes continue in episode two, “The Death Conga,” where Higgins sleuths in a Holland Cooper blazer and matching waistcoat. She styles the look with leather gloves and the first of many hats to come.
Higgins makes a bold statement in episode three, “Show Me Your Faces,” in a leopard-print waistcoat paired with a matching cape and skirt. The outfit coordination does not stop at the print, however, as her skirt has fur trim echoed by her matching fur-trimmed gloves. The star of this look is her black Vivien Sheriff beret, detailed with a star charm.
In episode four, “Cut the Head Off the Snake,” Higgins wears one of my favorite looks of hers. She wears a burgundy colored “Killa Dress” from Cultnaked and pairs it with a matching burgundy leather newsboy cap. This look is chic, effortless and proves Higgins is a perfect pick for Miss Scarlet if there is ever a “Clue” remake.
Higgins serves sophistication in episode five, “If You’re Gonna Come For Me, I’ll Finish You,” with a structured blazer and matching trousers from Holland Cooper. She pairs this clean, professional look with a chic, messy bun, as she effortlessly mixes business and pleasure.
Skipping ahead to episode seven, “The Black Banquet,” Higgins wears two noteworthy outfits.
The first is another burgundy outfit in which she wears a burgundy cropped polo and matching short shorts from The Frankie Shop. She hangs a burgundy, leather puffer coat off her shoulders and tops it off with, of course, a Vivian Sheriff newsboy cap.
Higgins’s other noteworthy look from episode seven is her structural statement dress for the banquet. She looked like a golden statue in a gown adorned with gold-plated details, topped with an oversized cartwheel hat. Amidst all the drama and deceit, Higgins stole the show that night, looking like a Greek goddess.
In episode eight, “A Queen Never Comes Off Her Throne,” Higgins wears an all-velvet off-the-shoulder outfit from Maygel Coronel. This chic two-piece set is leveled up with an oversized black fur coat from Saks Potts and a black beret, an outfit full of mystery and drama.
In episode 10, “Do You Know the Enemy?,” Higgins wears a look straight off the runway. Her two-piece plaid outfit by Helen Anthony gives off an old-school detective vibe but is modernized to perfectly fit Higgins’s chic style. And don’t worry, she didn’t forget her hat, though she might have misplaced her detective skills.
Finally, let’s get to the moment we have all been waiting for: Higgins’s reunion look. All the stars showed up in their best outfits, but Maura Higgins actually won best dressed. She turned heads in her mystically chic Christian Siriano gown.
This dress is the pinnacle of her entire “The Traitors” wardrobe. Her style throughout the season twisted mystery-movie chic and couture, and this dress is no exception: black gloves, a pink train, dramatic shoulder cut-outs and of course, a hat. This look is truly to die for.
Luckily for us, she stayed on throughout the whole season so we could admire all of her bold, perfectly color-coordinated and meticulously mysterious outfits.
And even though Maura Higgins was outsmarted by Rob Rausch, she got the better of him and the entire “The Traitors” cast by outdressing them every single episode.
