Extending his contract and continuing to build the Kansas State volleyball program, head coach Jason Mansfield announced Jan. 20 that he’ll be staying with the Wildcats through 2030.
The extension comes after Mansfield led the Wildcats to the NCAA tournament for the first time since 2021 and for the first time in his coaching tenure with K-State.
Mansfield has led the Wildcats to three straight winning seasons and continues to elevate the program each season.
“Kansas State is exactly where I want to be, and I am fully committed to continuing to build this program the right way by recruiting young women of high character, a genuine love for the game and a passion for competing together,” Mansfield said.
This past season, Mansfield returned all eligible players from his 2024 squad and added on some talented freshmen, which helped K-State get back to the NCAA tournament.
The Wildcats have lost a few players due to the transfer portal this season, but seven players will return to the roster from their round of 32 tournament team. The team is also adding talented portal pieces and another loaded freshman class.
“Mansfield and his staff have created unbelievable excitement surrounding our program, as evidenced by the consistent sellout crowds at Morgan Family Arena,” athletic director Gene Taylor said.
Mansfield, during his time at K-State, has 11 ranked victories, with seven of those wins being sweeps. In 2025, the Wildcats had five ranked victories, tying a program record set by Mansfield’s squad in 2023.
Next season, Mansfield enters year four with K-State and will look to build on the success of last year’s team to take the program even higher.
