As the first headlining performance for Coachella 2026, expectations were high for Sabrina Carpenter. But with extravagant sets, theatrical choreography and show-stopping outfits, Carpenter stole the whole weekend, and she did it all in custom Dior.
Over a 90-minute set, Carpenter delivered four outfit changes, each accompanied by a matching set change, creating five distinct performances in one night. Every section’s aesthetic transported audiences into the glamour and drama of Hollywood.
Carpenter opened the show with “House Tour,” walking across the stars of a replica Hollywood Walk of Fame. She sparkled in a red sequin mini dress and matching peacoat, both custom Dior.
The cap-sleeve, belted dress was styled with her signature blond blowout and white Mary Jane heels. The look shimmered against the Hollywood hills-inspired set as she performed three additional songs, including her hit, “Manchild.”
Glamour and Hollywood shine continued as Carpenter lay upon an oversized sign that read “SABRINAWOOD.” She donned a gold sequined, high-neck mini dress that featured flowing chiffon sleeves and was styled with white go-go boots — pure 70s vibes.
Looking like she had just stepped off the set of “Daisy Jones and the Six” or out of a Fleetwood Mac album, Carpenter sang “Please, Please, Please” in a vintage-inspired recording studio.
Finishing off the second set with emotional ballads “Because I Liked a Boy” and “My Man on Willpower,” Carpenter’s billowing sleeves in the wind perfectly portrayed the heartache in her performance.
Stripping back the glitz and glam, Carpenter opened her third section with “Go Go Juice,” wearing black tights, a royal blue turtleneck sweater and a black leotard underneath — a “Dirty Dancing”-inspired look. With fosse-style choreography and recreations of iconic moments from the film, this set was 80s Hollywood magic.
Carpenter closed the third set with an unforgettable performance of “Don’t Smile.” Layering the red peacoat over her royal blue sweater, Carpenter’s look was reminiscent of the “Short n’ Sweet” album cover.
Performing alone without backup dancers or an extravagant set, Carpenter allowed the audience to focus on her lyrics. Her coat’s hem and blond curls whistled in the wind as she was illuminated by the audience’s phone flashlights.
The theatrics returned as dancers dressed as showgirls, wielding oversized feather fans, flooded the stage for “Feather.” Carpenter stood out in a white fringe and sequin two-piece set against her dancers’ black Hollywood showgirl costumes. Though it was the most theatrical set yet, the look echoed the Coachella attendees’ fringe-heavy style.
Bright Hollywood lights and movie theater marquees illuminated the stage as Carpenter started the last section off with “Juno.”
Styled in a black lace bodysuit with a matching structural cape, Carpenter sported a showgirl outfit of her own. The look was complete with sparkling black Mary Jane Louboutins and diamond statement earrings, channeling Hollywood glamour.
Finishing off her entire show with over-the-top performances of her hits “Espresso” and “Tears,” Carpenter drove a 1950s-style car out of the festival, only after being lifted into the air by the backseat, which turned into a waterfall.
Sabrina Carpenter’s Coachella performance blew the rest out of the water, featuring four outfit changes, elaborate sets and references to iconic Hollywood films. The only thing that could have made it more spectacular was a custom Dior wardrobe and cameos from Will Ferrell and Susan Sarandon. Oh, wait!
