Donations flooded in at Kansas State’s Day of Giving on Wednesday, with 47% of the donors being alumni, 20% being faculty/staff, 9% being friends, 7% being parents and 3% being students.
The college hosted hourly and day-long challenges with awards totalling $19,250. Any donation could be given to help the donor’s “favorite unit,” whether that is the campus, college, school, program or student organization. The units that claim the top spot on the donation leaderboard win bonus funds.
Cats Cupboard had the most donors, raising $53,271 from 140 different donations. The College of Business raised the most money, with 58 donors gifting $346,870.
