The Museum of Art + Light will officially be open starting at 10 a.m. Friday.
The first floor will have an immersive art experience through a gallery called Mezmereyz, where the walls and floors will move using technology to submerge viewers in sound and sight. The second and third floors will have traditional and digital galleries, named the De Coded Gallery, the Byrnice & Gordon Hurt Gallery and the Fine Art Gallery.
The Museum of Art + Light will be the first museum in the world to have the immersive, permanent and digital gallery upon establishment. The third floor will also feature Café Azul by Radina’s, which will have outdoor dining overlooking the Kaw river valley. Student tickets start at $12 and adult tickets cost $15, and can be purchased online in advance.
