Celebrating its five year anniversary this month, Mesa Collection continues to grow as they now offer licensed Greek life apparel and have launched their custom T-shirt service.
“To my knowledge there is not any other store in Manhattan that carries licensed Greek life apparel,” said Mesa Collection Owner Sam Capoun. “We have apparel for all sororities at K-State and we currently have six different designs that they can choose from to customize for their sorority, but we are going to continue to grow that amount as we keep going.”
Along with Greek life affiliated apparel, Mesa also offers custom Kansas State T-shirts, sweatshirts and crewnecks. These pieces of apparel range from $40-$50 and are able to be taken home the same day you fill out an order form in store.
“We have over 50 designs right now and people can come in and pick out a design, garment and a color of the garment and we make it right there,” Capoun said.
Private events as well as pop-up shops are offered to communities to help create long-lasting memories. According to Capoun, some of the most fulfilling events have been sorority mom’s weekends.
“Those events were so amazing because you get to see the moms with their daughters and the reasons they love Manhattan,” said Capoun. “We heard a lot of positive feedback from moms and daughters like ‘Thank you for bringing something like this to Manhattan.’”
The custom T-Shirt wall, a charm bracelet/necklace bar and a permanent jewelry bar are three experiences offered in addition to shopping that go beyond being solely a clothing store.
Capoun feels Mesa is an anchor point for Manhattan for different things.
With the intention of being a safe place for the entire Manhattan community, Capoun said having the Kansas State Women’s Basketball Team’s seniors visit before leaving for the Sweet 16 is a highlight for Mesa Collection.
“It was really cool to have those basketball players in here that are supporters of our store, but really have the community rally around them at our store and come in to get autographs and meet them – it felt like meeting our K-State side of things with the community side,” Capoun said. “I love women supporting women so for us to be able to bring those K-State basketball players into our store and have people bring in their daughters to meet them – wow what a cool moment.”
According to Capoun, this fulfilling experience goes hand-in-hand with Mesa Collections’s goal for their customers.
“Our goal is to always be that center point in the community to offer great products, great services and great prices,” Capoun said. You can get all of these unique experiences in-store located on Poyntz Ave or shop their collection online at https://themesacollection.com/
