Editor’s Note: Taylor’s name in the last paragraph was corrected. It originally had another name unintentionally.
After a strong and historic season, Kansas State women’s basketball landed Tulsa transfer Temira Poindexter. The AAC Player of the Year is the second transfer to join the Wildcats this season, following Missouri State’s Kennedy Taylor.

In three seasons at Tulsa, the 6-foot-1 forward averaged double-digit points in every season, leading to a career-high 21 points per game in 2023-24. Poindexter reached the mark on a 43.2% clip from the field and 32.3% from 3-point range.
Alongside that, she averaged 5.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.5 blocks per game.
Joining a roster with all returning contributors outside of guard Gabby Gregory, Poindexter receives an opportunity to start on a top 25 team in the nation. Poindexter can provide a major scoring boost to support center Ayoka Lee — K-State’s leading scorer the past four years she’s played.
The addition of Poindexter alongside Taylor filled the Wildcat roster with near-double digit players who could receive major playing time as K-State attempts to improve on their No. 4 seed season.
