Jacob Parrish, CB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The up-and-coming corner had the most solo tackles of his NFL career so far, with four.
Parrish put up a tackle for loss and sack as well, involving himself much more than in the previous two games.
There is a gradual improvement with Parrish, as he helped the Buccaneers get past the New York Jets in a nail-biting 29-27 win.
D.J. Reed, CB, Detroit Lions
In the highly anticipated matchup versus the Baltimore Ravens for Monday Night Football, Reed and the Lions came out on top 38-30.
Reed was a part of the crucial play that saw Ravens running back Derrick Henry fumble. The veteran corner recovered the late-game fumble to help allow the Lions’ offense to win the game. Reed would finish with two solo tackles and a pass deflection as well.
Tyler Lockett, WR, Tennessee Titans
Although the Titans were battered by the Indianapolis Colts 41-20, Tyler Lockett has improved week by week for the so far winless franchise this season.
Lockett recorded 37 yards off four receptions, as he and rookie quarterback Cam Ward slowly figure out each other’s play.
Dalton Risner, RG, Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals were no match for the Minnesota Vikings’ electric defensive performance, as the final score would be 48-10. Risner and the Bengals’ offensive line struggled at times, giving up three sacks total.
In the third quarter, Risner would suffer a calf injury, which forced him to be rotated and replaced more frequently than usual. Risner could lose some snaps because of this slight hiccup, but nothing is certain yet.
Cornelius Lucas, RT, Cleveland Browns
Lucas logged 66 snaps in the upset victory against the Green Bay Packers, as the Browns won 13-10.
Lucas didn’t perform overwhelmingly amazing by any means, but did enough to keep quarterback Joe Flacco clean, allowing zero sacks.
