Previously known as Shot Stop in Aggieville, the space next to Yard Bar has been closed for renovations.
With hopes to open the new nightclub by the 2026 spring semester, Allred Management announces plans to combine both concepts of Yard Bar and a lively nightclub to replace Shot Stop with little details available.
Located in the heart of Aggieville, Shot Stop was widely known by Kansas State students for their variety of affordable shots and connection to Yard Bar. The two were often combined as one trip, with customers venturing from one bar to the other due to easy accessibility.
Johnny Kaw’s House Bar, located at 1218 Moro St. has been owned by Allred Management since 2011. The owners now seek to sell or lease the property. Equipped with a fully established kitchen and bar, updated interior spaces, the 8,200-square-foot space is still available for $1.2 million as of June 2025.
House Bar was previously known for being one of two 18+ bars within Aggieville, leaving Tubby’s Sports Bar as the only one for those underage.
The unnamed nightclub was announced on kaws.ksu’s Instagram on July 28, stating “… what’s coming is nothing short of legendary.” The post showcased a similar bar in Westport that holds over 3,500 people, giving guests the ability to move throughout the bar being able to see different components without having to venture to another location.
In the long term, owners plan to expand some of their previously established concepts, as seen in Kansas City, including a modern design layout and a lighting system designed and installed by professionals. The hope is to create a smaller district within Aggieville, filled with lively music and the biggest dance floor Manhattan has seen.
