All students living in the residence halls can enjoy a free concert by the Mikey Needleman Band at 8 p.m. Friday on the Goodnow Hall front lawn. The performance is funded by the Association of Residence Halls.
Kipp Van Dyke, Residence Life Coordinator for Goodnow Hall, said the Mikey Needleman Band performed last year and was a big success with students, so he wanted to bring the band back again.
Though this event last year was for Goodnow residents, Van Dyke said this year all the halls are invited to attend.
“Mikey Needleman was a former student of K-State, so he has ties here. He is such a great guy and it is a good band,” Van Dyke said.
Van Dyke said the band plays in Aggieville and Kansas City and has an album due out in October.
He said the band has its own songs but also plays songs that both college students will like and will get the crowd excited.
